Our Story
As a teacher turned stay-at-home-mom, I found out quickly just how the walls of your home start to mean so much more when they’re the ONLY things you see all day. I wanted so badly to make sure it was a space that was unique to my style, but the price tag attached to that concept was not in the budget. Why is it so difficult to find decor that can be customized to fit your needs without breaking the bank?! That’s when I decided to fix the problem myself.
I was always a crafter, so that was nothing new. However, Covid-19 gave me extra time at home to really start to research and try new things. I found that my passion is with woodwork and I loved being able to make personalized products for family and friends that spoke to them, too. It wasn’t long before word-of-mouth gave me the need to begin selling in local shops and at events. I was officially becoming “The Kemp Nest”- a name chosen because it all started with a desire to create a unique nest of our own.
The Process
So how does it all work? Well, it starts with an idea. Whether you see a design of one of my products that you love as-is or you have an idea of your own, we can work together to make something perfect for you. You can add the design to your cart and list your proposed customizations at checkout OR you can always contact us and we can help get something ordered for you that way. There are also some pre-made items for sale that you can snag just as they are if they are already perfect for your style!
Items are available for pickup in Germantown Hills or delivery in the Peoria area (within a 20 miles of Germantown Hills). Shipping is available for our smaller items and will be reflected at checkout.
